Red, White, and GOLD???

Published by chaos07phx under Uncategorized Edit This

Down by 4 with 2:28 left for Spain (108-104) giving the United States their first real challenge in the 4th quarter of the 2008 Olympics. United States have won the gold for the first time since 2000. It wasn’t as easy as everyone thought it was going to be. Spain almost defeated the United States in the closest game in Olympics and most exciting game for the United States. Raptors point guard Jose Calderon was great in that game, only if he played like that every game for the Raptors. It was a great fight, lucky I stayed up to watch a wonderful game.

United States shot 13 of 28 (46%) from the 3 point line, 71& from the floor, and only won by 11 points, 118-107. Dywane Wade was US scoring leader with 27 points, while Kobe Bryant had 20 and 6 assists. Kobe Bryant was great in the 4th quarter with 4 point play to silence the Spain crowd. Spain’s Jose Carlos Navarro had 18 points was very effective with lots of teardrops in the lane. Pau Gasol put in 21 points and 6 rebounds, while Rudy Fernandez had 22 points.

NEW KING OF EUROPE?????

Published by chaos07phx under Uncategorized Edit This

In 2010 along with other big name players, Lebron will be a free agent. But will he sign with an NBA team? Tuesday a person close to the King of Cleveland said he would strongly consider playing overseas if he there was an offer around $50 million a year. Who would not take that offer, $50 million a year. Teams are trying make cap space to make him an offer. But no NBA team can even offer him $20 million a year. Will King James become King of Europe??

Maybe he will even play against Cleveland if he go to Europe in 2010 and play in the NBA Preseason games they play against international teams. Several NBA players have already left for better contracts. No NBA stars (all-stars) have left to internat’ and more moola. NBA said the league is not concered about the developing trend.

The NBA should just go international like they was talking about 2 years ago. I think its going to happen anyway. More and more players are going to leave and the NBA will lose money because some stars will leave for $50 million a year. More people will not go to the game or watch because they wanted to see Lebron James.
